This seems to be the reason why I’m struggling to get information into this blog of mine. I hear you asking what “this” is and I guess that’s what I’m here to blab about. You see, for the last 12 days, I have been husband-less. As much as I’d love to moan about how hard it is to do life without him around, I always hold myself back because there are soooooooo many single parents out there doing this journey alone. I find I gain increased respect for all of you out there. Continue reading “4 Notes I’ve Made While He’s Been Away…..”
It’s funny how often the first thing I want to do as a parent is whine a little about my kids and how tired I am after a rough night or whatever the case may be. It’s weird really, because honestly which parent isn’t having some sort of a hard time. Then, just when you think that having all three of your kids smothered in chicken pox for a week is hard work (with a 10 month old teething with a runny stomach-it was hectic guys!) then you meet people like our wonderful friends Josh and Amberley Klinkenberg. Dude’s!! Continue reading “Meet “Our Special Story” friends – having friends with a special needs child”
I’m really enjoying this series and learning from other women who’ve been through different ministry experiences. This week I asked them what their earliest highlight was and what the earliest low light was. With the low light what they learned from it. Once again, as I wrote in the first installment – I’m keeping everyone anonymous and some weeks there’s be plenty of responses and others there’ll be a few because they are all very busy ladies. Here’s 3 stories for you to read. I hope you learn something new about the way that we live our lives. Continue reading “Being a Ministry Wife – Early Highs and Lows”
Time is honestly flying by! It’s like, March already. Can somebody pinch me please? While I pull myself towards myself – let’s just dive in shall we. I have been wanting to do this kind of post for a very, very, very, VERY long time. I have been playing with the idea like a cat with a ball of wool. It’s been one of those that I haven’t been too sure about and also, will it be well received? Do people really want to know about this kind of thing…. So after much pondering, and running it by a few people I decided to just do it and see what happens. Not to really get a response, but to see if it will begin to help some people.
Ok, I hear you – what idea is it Shaveh? Continue reading “Being a “Ministry” wife – 6 Wives share”
Hello Friday! Boy, am I glad to see you! It’s been quite a week and even though it was a tough one – we’ve made it all the way through and have had a great finish. Last night was awesome people! If you haven’t figured out yet, then have a read about why I’m so amped.
I’m sitting here and I’m actually debating in my head on whether or not I should write down how I’m feeling in this present moment. Mainly because the internet is a permanent kind of place and I don’t want to have myself regretting what I’ve put out there. And yet I also feel it’s important to not always put up a brave face Continue reading “Ministry – What no one would really write about….”
If you’re the kind of person that goes to any kind of church, I’m sure you’ve observed “the guys at the front” or the ones that are on the stage at some point or another. I remember I used to think that those families just looked like they had it all together. Their children were always so courteous and stayed solemnly in place without complaint and the wives were always seemed to be perfectly patient and caring.
