Jude’s first hair cut with clippers

I’ve been meaning to get this video up onto the interweb but I really wanted to have the intro attached to it as well. You know – to make it all authentic and “real” youtuby.

So, here we have it. I decided a few weeks ago that I’d had enough of trying to maintain my son’s afro and forever worry about how to get a comb or brush through the dreadlock growing on the back of his head.

I’m not that mommy that takes all the precious time in the morning to groom my children to “look” perfect for every one else to look at. I’m all for basics and being clean and smelling nice – but to be perfectly presented at all times……. Ummmm – no. If you guys knew how much time I spend on myself – you’d probably have a jaw drop and realize how true my statement actually is. (Ok, breathe people…. I’m not disgusting – just clean and tidy. There’s more to life than a daily pamper – for me anyway)

Well, enough of that nonsense. Back to my sons hair cut.

So I decided let’s cut his hair with the clippers and see how it goes. I remember my nephew having a really teary moment about it and others freaking out because of the clipper noise. Well, as much as I was hoping for some sort of drama – have a look and enjoy how we sat my little boy down to have his very first clipper hair cut.
