Mom Shaming – Working Mom vs Homeschool Mom. STOP IT!!

Ok, so as I’ve mentioned or titled my blog – I’m a homeschooling mommy. Now, I’m absolutely proud of what I do and as much as I freelance on the side (which isn’t often) what I do requires constant supervision, observation, correction and emotional energy. The reason why I’m opening this post with this, is because yesterday I was caught off guard by a statement a working mom said to me. Continue reading “Mom Shaming – Working Mom vs Homeschool Mom. Behind the Scenes – what you don’t always read about before an event

Sherbit! It’s been a long time since I’ve actually been able to sit down and write anything. You will not believe how intense the last few days/week has been. I feel like I could literally exhale all of my troubles, memories and victories right here for you to read. There’s probably going to be like three posts coming out of me today. For example Continue reading “Monday has me rethinking discipline strategies for my kids”

Friday Feder Files – how’s the family doing?

Friday morning has made me all reflective and I think it would be appropriate to have a little update on where my little tribe are at. Let’s start with Tim. As you might have read, about two weeks ago, he went in for a hernia surgery repair thing. To date, it’s been interesting. Continue reading “Friday Feder Files – how’s the family doing?”

My response as a parent to 13 reasons why

Before I get into this post – I want you to understand one thing. The TV/Netflix show I’m about to reference is extremely graphic and disturbing to a point of insomnia for some, visual imprints for others and disgusting to the point of nausea. So, if you are sensitive to anything of this nature (e.g. S,V,L,P +16 movies) I would recommend finding the book and reading it and not watching the series Continue reading “My response as a parent to 13 reasons why”
